Rocky Top

Aunt Kari, pleeeeease don't go! Chattanooga is way too far. I'll miss you so much. Who's going to change my less-than-fresh diapers... who's going to meet me for lunch... who's going to push my stroller in the mall?! Sniff, sniff... I won't say goodbye, I'll say see ya later.

SUUUUPER SYDNEY!

Supersydney can change the course of mighty rivers and bend steel with her bare hands. Even when disguised as Sydney Rebecca, mild-mannered 7 month old, she sets out to fight a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way!

Full Bloom

Spring is in full bloom. We planted tulips in the fall (I was just a few weeks old) and they've made a grand appearance this spring! Sorry my posts have begun to spread out... the warmer weather has been calling me to the great outdoors. :)

Time to Renew

It took a little extra effort, but I discovered a stash of catalogs and magazines. Now I'm hooked. I love wrinkling up the pages, looking at the pictures, and ripping out the ones that I just don't like. I guess mommy may want to take back that brand spankin' new toy cause I'd rather play with the always free, always fun catalog collection.

Milestone #86

Shhhh... don't tell... I've been able to sit up on my own for a few days, but it was much much funnier to keep that information confidential so that I could watch mommy and daddy's attempts to teach me! I think they were starting to be "on" to my little secret, so I finally gave in and showed off last night.

Hammer-time!

Mommy's wonderful friends, Mary and Ken, came in town today with their cutie-patootie Connor. While Ken and Mary headed down to the Reds game to live it up in the Diamond Club, Connor and I had a playdate. He was such a GOOD boy and knows all kinds of tricks! I wish I knew how to crawl, clap, walk, shake my booty, feed myself... all while holding on to a hammer. :)

Ribbit, ribbit!

A little green frog once lived in a pool,
The sun was hot and the water cool,
She sat in the pool the whole day long,
And sung a dear little, happy song,
Froggery do, Froggery dee,
No one was ever so happy as me!

Strapping Young Chap

I could barely keep my eyes open since it was nearing my bedtime, but I didn't want to miss my favorite show, The Bachelor. I sooo fancy the charming british accent of this season's bachelor. Mommy says I'm too young to be in the betting pool... but I think that Chelsea will be getting the final rose.

Are you serious?!? You are going to keep HER?!!

Are Peep-toes Still "In"?

Long walks, bathing suits, playing in the grass, sunscreen, SANDALS... these are just a few things that come to mind when I think of summer. I've picked up a few cute pair of sandals for the summer season. I can't wait to sport these on the beaches of the Outer Banks. :)

6 Mondays Left

I'm learning how to count. Every morning mommy starts our day by telling me the countdown until the end of the school year. There are 36 school days left until summer. Next year, mommy will only work half days. She'll go to school in the mornings and spend the rest of the day with ME! Yahoooooo!

Big Man on Campus

My Uncle Greg's dream of becoming a school principal has just been realized. Congratulations and kudos to him! It must feel pretty awesome to be the cheif, head honcho, boss, CEO of two-thousand 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. I wonder what kinds of shenanigans the kids will try to pull on him!?! We celebrated this great accomplishment with a family dinner.

M-O-R-E!

My palette is expanding every day. It's not true that first impressions are lasting impressions 'cause I've grown fond of each of the foods that I was a little nervous about at first. Some of my thoughts regarding the recent cuisine:

Sweet Peas: If I'm hungry enough, I'll make this stuff go down.

Green Beans: CHA-CHING, BADA BING! Give me more!

Squash: Hmmm... the verdict is still out on this one.

Carrots: Awww Yeah. Now that's the good stuff.

Pup of the Month

My Uncle Doug and Aunt Cecilly's sweet golden retriever has been honored as this month's "Dog of the Month". Oakley received this special honor from her daycare facility. Yes, you read that correctly. She goes to a daycare during the day. Yep, I agree. That's one spoiled puppy. At her exclusive doggy daycare, they publish a newletter each month recognizing three outstanding canines.Way to shine above the rest Oakley Anne!

New Set of Wheels

I overhead mommy telling daddy that she'd like for us to be able to cruise around town in one of these nice, reliable, safe vehicles...
Then daddy explained to her that this is what is in the budget...
1996 Geo Metro

I'd personally like to see us hit the town in this...

Growing Like A Weed

I'm not the only one growing like a weed around here... Sadie is too! I always have to listen to mommy and daddy reminisce about Sadie's puppy days. Several years and many sophisticated dog tricks later, she is the perfect doggy. She gets the paper in the morning, plays dead when you say "bang! bang!", and can wave hello/goodbye. We are so proud.

Twinkle Toes

I've learned that you don't have to pay a high price for a little exfoliation... and we all need to exfoliate every now and then. A budget friendly way to exfoliate rough skin on your feet is to gently rub your tootsies in the sand. I tried this for myself in Kiawah Island. It was just like a spa pedicure without the oh-so-soothing massage, the relaxing warm water soak, and the perfect application of pretty polish. :)

Caught on Tape

I love to sing. Most people like to sing in the shower, but I like to sing in my bouncy seat. I especially like upbeat tempos that I can bounce along with. Apparently, my mom caught me on tape when I wasn't looking...
