Sooo Not Fair!

Let me give you a little scenario and you decide which sounds more appetizing.... Person A enjoys a delicious meal of swiss steak and dumplings (with mashed potatoes and green beans on the side). Person B drinks an exclusive milk-only dinner while having to watch Person A practically lick the plate and say things such as, "Wow, this is incredible!". Needless to say, NOT FAIR!

On the upside, I did get to spend the evening with Aunt Kari (the chef ), Aunt Katie, and Aunt Stacy!

14 Cents Per Diaper!

Every other Saturday, our family heads out for some bulk bargains at the local Costco Warehouse. Some of the items that we stock up on include diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, and various household items. Daddy calls some of our purchases "impulse buys", but mommy says that they are "deals just too big to pass up!". It's hard to believe that 740 wipes were used to wipe my bottom in just over one month. It's pretty fair to say that I have one shiny heiney!

Indian Lake

I am heading up to Indian Lake for some relaxation and winter fun this weekend. According to the official Indian Lake website, the winter season offers a variety of activities including ice sailing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. I'll be sure to post as soon as I return home!

Start of Something New

Is this my cousin Libby or Gabriella from High School Musical???!! It's so hard to tell. ;) I got Libby this dress up set for Christmas and it was a hit!

Do Re Mi Fa Soooo.....

I can really carry a tune (it sounds more like a hum)! Maybe someday I'll join the American Idol gang with Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, and Carrie Underwood. Although, I'm thinking that if I get my singing talents from my parents than I'll probably end up in this reel instead... http://www.americanidol.com/videos/?vid=831!

Fractured Fairy Tale

I possess a wonderful mirror which can answer me when I stand before it. I say, "Mirror, Mirror on the wall... who's the sassiest of them all?" The mirror answers, "You, dear Sydney, are the sassiest of them all," and I am contented because I know the mirror can speak nothing but the truth. :)

Wake-Up Call

I've had the "sleeping through the night" thing down real well UNTIL this week. I've been hearing the rooster crow around 4:30 am lately. Who needs the sun to be up?? Not me! My mom and dad seem less than enthusiastic about my early wake-up call and I'm beginning to notice some serious bags under their sleepy eyes...

The Keeping Quilt

After reading the story, The Keeping Quilt, my mommy's third grade class made me a very special quilt. Each of the students brought in a quilt square to make this thoughtful blanket. My mom has a pretty amazing group of students! This is definitely a quilt that I'll be keeping forever.

All Gums

Unfortunately these pictures don't showcase my dimples, but I am getting good at grinning! :)

T.G.I.F.

My Mimi and I planned a very special surprise for my mommy today. I surprised her at school during lunchtime! I could tell that she was soooo happy to see me!!! She kept saying, "This is the best surprise!" I got to meet her class, see her friends, and check out her school. Third grade looks very FUN!

Six

I'm not really into numerology, but the number six means many things to me. SIX is the number of...
~ naps I take throughout the day.
~ minutes it takes me to calm myself after a meltdown.
~ toes I have... oh wait... that's ten! (oops, I get confused)
~ aunt and uncles that I have.
~ times a day that my mommy calls to check in on me!
~ binkies that my mom and dad carry at all times.

Sweet Dreams

I'm learning many things from my Papa. He is veeery wise. One lesson that I've been practicing is how to sleep sitting up. My Papa is a master at this skill, although I am still trying to figure out how to keep my head from bobbing just as... I... doooze... ooofffff..... zzzzzzzzz.........

Like Father, Like Daughter

I share many qualities with my daddy. We have the same eyes, the same laid back personality, and we both like to rub our feet together when we are relaxing!

Waterworks

My mommy went back to school today. While she returns to her third graders, I get to spend my days with Mimi.... hooray! At one point in the drop-off process, Mommy AND Mimi were crying. The only things that soothed my mommy's tears were my bright smile, all the hugs from friends, and an entire box of Puffs Plus.

Here's Looking At You, Kid

All I have to do is bat my very looong eyelashes at my daddy and his heart melts. I'm working on securing a new car when I'm sixteen... I think I've almost got him! :)

Lunch Anyone?!

My dad thinks that I'm too young to date, but I don't think that lunch dates count. My mom and I have really loved meeting friends for lunch throughout the week. I've gotten so used to our midday outtings that when noon strikes, I start craving LaRosa's pizza or Friday's chicken fingers! Hmmmm.... should I get cheese on the breadsticks???

Redheads Rule!

My sister, Sadie, and I are growing really close these days. Not only does she give me kisses in the form of a big lick on the head, but she also sleeps with one eye open to be sure that I'm safe at night. Despite our auburn highlights, we don't look too much alike... but we both like to smile and play with squeaky toys! :)

Resolution

In the year 2008, I resolve to... spend more time on my tummy without crying, add some variety to my diet with solid foods, wear less baby pink and more hot pink, sprout a few teeth, and grow out my mullet.

2008

Out with the old and in with the new... 2008 is great! My parents brought in the New Year with a few close friends and a few board games. Dominoes and Apples to Apples became pretty competitive (and very funny). I got a little sassy around midnight, so my daddy rocked me into the New Year... it doesn't get much better than that!
