Reid loves to "rah-rah" (translation: rock) and snuggle before laying down for nap or bed time. He wakes up so sweet and happy. After his little battery is charged with some sleep and snuggles, he's right back in action!

4H
I had never been to a county fair before I met Andy and have now been to one every year since we started dating (back in 1998). I am officially hooked on fairs, big or small. It always feels like good people, good times, and old fashioned family fun.

530
The number of posts that I've written in the last four years: 530. This blog has been and continues to be the best way to store our family memories. I don't scrapbook, don't facebook, don't always print photos and put them in albums, and (gasp!) haven't been the best at keeping up with Sydney and Reid's baby books. This has truly become our own family keepsake. Looking back through the pictures and posts makes me smile every single time. Your comments make it even sweeter and always make my day. Blogging is my mommy outlet and helps me to never ever forget sweet moments like this...

Boomerang Bay
We met up with Nico, Brooks, and Evan this week for a little splishing and splashing at Boomerang Bay! It was a blast and hard to get our little fish out of the water.

Check Ups
Summer means swimming, Kings Island, festivals, parks and check ups! Sydney went to the dentist for a cleaning and was a model patient. It must have been because of the super cool sunglasses that they let her wear! ;)
Reid went to the allergist for some testing. He had a severe reaction to eating a bite of a peanut butter chip granola bar a few weeks ago. Twenty-four pricks in his back and a lot of crying later, we found out he has a strong allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. We will now be toting an epi-pen jr. around everywhere we go!
| Sadly, no french fries, donuts, asian food, or bakery goods for this little guy. :( |

Caution: Germs Ahead!
Mommy put her germaphobia aside for a few minutes so that we could live it up in the ball pit at a local park! Reid could have stayed in there forever...

Riding Sideways
While riding in daddy's truck after a semi-sharp turn at a stop sign, Sydney softly says, "Daddy, my chair fell over". He turns around from his driver seat to see this...

Andy quickly pulled over to #1) stop laughing long enough to take a picture and #2) put her back upright! hahahaha :) Apparently, our sweet girl is an escape artist. She unbuckled the straps of her seat and then went on to unbuckle the seatbelt that was holding the carseat in place!

Fourth of July Weekend: Part 3
We extended our getaway to Indy an extra day and went to the Children's Museum. What an incredible place for little and older kids. The most popular part of the day was the Dora and Diego exhibit which was perfect for two big-time fans! :)

Fourth of July Weekend: Part 2
After a fun weekend at the lake, we packed our stuff up and headed to Indianapolis to celebrate the Fourth of July. We stayed in a hotel downtown and walked to the zoo. Downtown Indy had a bunch of fun things going on to celebrate the fourth and we had a great view of the fireworks from our hotel room.

Two tired kids!

Our First Love
Sadie is almost ten years old and the best. dog. ever. This is where she hangs out while we play outside. Don't be fooled by her white face, she still acts like a puppy if you throw her a tennis ball. Having a little sister and brother hasn't been the easiest for her (think tail pulling and riding on her back), but she is an angel and takes all of it with a wagging tail. :)

Friscan
I just got home from an amazing trip to San Francisco! Katie and Madison made my first trip to San Fran perfect. Our adventures included a gorgeous drive along the coast to beautiful Stinson Beach. We rode a double-decker bus on a tour through the city. We saw the painted ladies and loved the sea lions on Pier 39. We rode BART to downtown and walked from Fisherman's Wharf to the financial district (passing Little Italy and Chinatown along the way). We admired the Golden Gate bridge and saw the crookedest part of Lombard Street. We ate a brownie sundae in Ghiradelli Square, caught up on the Real Housewives and read all of the latest gossip magazines. Katie & Madison- Thank you for such a wonderful time, I miss you both already!
