Can someone please remove me from this magnolia bush?! Yes, it would be a great photo background, but I'm not really into the whole idea of being put into a shrub just for a good picture. I need to hire a new photographer asap.

180 Days

As of March 23rd, I am six months old. I'm growing slowly but surely. My latest weigh-in put me at 15 pounds, 13 ounces. I'm rockin' the 37th percentile in height. I better line up a good seamstress to hem all of my pants.

The Easter bunny made a special trip to my house and dropped off a glistening basket filled with toys and deliciousness! Yum, yum, yummmmy!

Whitecap

Can someone please explain what is growing inside my mouth??! One day my gums feel nice and soft. The next day, there is a white, bumpy surface poking out of my gumline. I keep running my tongue over this new development, but I'm not exactly sure where it came from and what it's for. Should I call the dentist? Do I have to start brushing it?? So many questions...

p.s. I don't really appreciate that mommy used a moment that I was very sad to try to capture the whitecap on film.

Warm, Sunny Thoughts

You'd hardly be able to tell that spring has arrived with the mounds of snow that are not completely melted yet from the recent blizzard. Although it's still chilly outside, I'm thinking warm, sunny, flowery thoughts. My sundresses, short-sleeve shirts, and capri pants are pressed and ready to go... now we just need a nice 70 degree day!

We didn't have much going on today so we headed over to the grand opening of IKEA. We knew it must be a special place since there were thousands of people stopping by at the same time as we did. Once we went through the entrance, we could hardly believe our eyes. There were textiles, kitchen goodies, lighting, accessories, bathroom items galore! Mommy's trying to teach me how to be a good shopper, but I can't wait until I'm big enough to play in Smaland. :)

All in the Family

My cousin, Natalie, celebrated career day at school last week. I bet that everyone can pretty much guess what she wants to be when she grows up!! :) I wonder if I have that teacher gene that clearly runs strong in the family...

Right Hand (wo)Man

Daddy was very busy at work today, so I jumped right in to be his assistant. I think I might need some additional training because he didn't give me a lot of responsibilities. I pretty much just sat around and provided a smile when needed. I've got a lot to learn. Maybe Miss Peggy could teach me how to say "Good morning, Honey!" just like she does each day at mommy's school!

I have a lot of toys that I love to play with, but one toy is really standing out as super fun... my glow worm! Every time it lights up, I can't help but smile! :) Mommy says that glow worms have been around a loooong time and she remembers having one when she was my age.

Snow Angels

Cincinnati has been hit by a blizzard! We've already had several inches of snow and the meteorologists are calling for several more inches overnight and tomorrow. I have the perfect hill in my backyard that is oh-so-perfect for some sledding!

Whooops!

I was laying on my belly when all of the sudden my head got very heavy and swayed the rest of my body to one side. Next thing I knew I was on my back... ummmm is that technically a roll?! I'm moving on to somersaults and kangaroo kicks next week. :)

Vicks

I am feeling a little under the weather. I've caught my first cold. Ugh! My nose is running, my temperature is up, I've got an unpleasant cough... but I'm still smiling. Not much can get this girl down. I did hear something about a Vicks Vaporizer being put in my bedroom tonight. I'm sure we all have stories about Vicks at one time or another. I heard that my grandpa used to have to eat it when he was sick (whoa!).

While You Were Out

Daddy went out of town this weekend and we wanted to do something special to show him how much he is appreciated. Soooo... we gave his home office a complete makeover! Although Tye Pennington and the rest of the TLC crew weren't there; Mimi, Papa, Uncle Doug and Aunt Cecilly were awesome helpers. Part of the office renovation involved going offline for a few days. The office is now finished and looking goood! The blog is back up and running....
