We went to Uncle Doug and Aunt Cecilly's house a few weekends ago. The kids played their 'lil hearts out and it looked like a bomb of toys had exploded in their family room. Will was so sweet to share all of his toys and August was as precious as always. While the kids played, we snuck in some adult time and conversation. Thank you for such a fun evening, Doug and Cecilly! :)

Tube + Snow = FUN

Over the holiday break, mommy and daddy took me on a little outing. They suited me up in all my winter gear and we headed to the "slopes"! I rode in my own mini tube and we linked our tubes together to zoom down the hills. The hills were awesome and I loved the magic carpet ride to the top!

Happy New Year

To celebrate the new year, we invited some of our closest friends over for a night of "Minute to Win It: Couples Edition". Using household items, we made a series of challenges (from here) that had to be completed in one minute or less. We had six teams and five challenges. We also had a bonus challenge after midnight. The games were hysterical!!!

"This Blows"- Blowing cups off of the counter with the air from a balloon.

Bill was a rockstar at this!

"Face the Cookie"- You have to move a cookie from your forehead to your mouth with no hands.

"Penny Hose"- Retreive a penny at the bottom of each panty hose leg without stretching or holding on to either side.

"Bite Me"- pick up bags of various heights using only your mouth.

Only your feet could touch the floor.

"Johnny Applestack"- stack five apples so that they stay upright for 3 seconds.

Bonus Challenge (didn't get a picture of this, oops): "Stack Attack"- stack 36 plastic cups in a pyramid and break it back down in 60 seconds or less.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

After realizing that our favorite restaurant wasn't open for carryout on Christmas Eve, we swapped out the menu and ordered Chinese. Yum!

Sweet August didn't have any chicken fried rice, but he was full of smiles.

We told Reid this was a "General Tso" hot dog and he loved it.

Chinese food by candlelight, how festive. ;)

Will and I chowed down on some mac and cheese at the kids table.

While the boys went out for their annual Christmas Eve pub burger, the girls went to Mimi's with Mimi.

15 and Counting

This is mommy's posse. They came over for the 15th annual Christmas dinner. It was hard to sleep over the laughs, laughs, and more laughs that I could hear from upstairs. These special friends mean the world to mommy.
