Getting Settled
Where have we been? Unpacking and getting settled in our new house while squeezing in some time getting mommy's classroom ready for the new school year. We also welcomed a new baby boy to the family this week. August Jameson was born on Wednesday and is the cutest 'lil cousin. Congrats to Uncle Doug, Aunt Cecilly, and cousin Will! Pictures to come soon...

Split Ends
I had my first haircut after growing my hair out for over 2 1/2 years! Strangely, mommy's eyes started to water a little during the cut as she mumbled something about me getting bigger and growing so fast. :)

Top Chef
My sous chef Reid and I are preparing a gourmet meal for mommy. The menu includes beef wellington, wild mushroom risotto, and roasted shallots prepared in a port wine reduction sauce.
Okayyy, you guys know that my mommy would never eat a meal that can't be found on the children's menu, so we are making her mac' n cheese. :)

Hilton Head
We had the best week in Hilton Head! After our caravan of turtle toppers made it to the island, we shared a beach house with mommy's whole family. The days were spent oceanside with lots of swimming, wave jumping, digging in the sand, laughing, and walking to the park. Thank you, Mimi and Papa, for treating our family to such a fun, wonderful vacation!

We cooled off one afternoon at the local splash fountains.
Reid LOVED to feel the sand between his fingers and toes!

Caboose is Best!
You are looking at the world's youngest roller coaster enthusiast! As I boarded my first coaster with daddy in tow, mommy yelled from the sidelines, "Hold her neck!!!!" with a very apprehensive, nervous smile. Daddy must not have heard because instead he taught me how to hold my hands up high in the air without having to hold on at all. Weeeeeeeeee!
While I lived life on the edge, this little guy took it all in from the comfort of his stroller.

Boys
What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails,
And tools and nails,
That's what little boys are made of.
Mud and puddles,
Smiles and snuggles,
That's what little boys are made of.
