The Beach??!!

When my parents suggested that we go the beach tonight, I thought to myself, "Whoo hooo!! I can't wait to ride the waves and show off my bikini!". Not so long after, I realized they were just talking about the Holiday Fest at the local "beach" waterpark. I didn't need my bikini... I needed my hat, gloves, fleece snowsuit, and two whole layers of garments to protect me from the 30 degree weather. We met our wonderful friends Kelly, Justin, Nicholas, and Brooks for a very fun evening of holiday lights, sled-riding, train-watching, and petting farm animals!

Shake, Rattle & Roll

New View

Everything around me looks so different when I sit up! I can't sit up by myself just yet, so I use my Bebe pod to help. I am in full concentration mode... ummmm how do I get it this thing to spin??!!

Not the Only One

I wasn't the only one that loved my Christmas gifts... Sadie did too. It only took her a few hours to finish this bone and a few seconds to destuff her squeaky toys. She was one happppy doggy!

Thank You

My First Christmas was nothing short of spectacular! I just couldn't believe it when Santa sent his elves to drop off a train for my cousins, Papa, and I. Santa even wrote us a special letter that made my mom's eyes tear up. Thank you, thank you, thank you to my family for all of the generous, wonderful gifts. Although I slept through most of the day, my mom and dad captured many photos to help me remember! :)

Fine Dining

Tonight's Christmas Eve celebration with Mimi, Papa, and Great Aunt Sue took place at Morton's steakhouse. I'm really hoping this becomes a tradition because my mom and dad were talking about the exceptionally scrumptious meal allll the way home!

As Santa checks his list twice, fills the sleigh with presents and gives the reindeer a final pep talk, I got all dressed up for a Christmas Eve lunch.

Second Generation Posse

My mom and seven of her closest friends make up a "posse" that dates all the way back to high school. Some of the posse traditions include a trip in the summer and holiday dinner/gift exchange in the winter. I have officially become the newest (and youngest) member of the posse! We celebrated the 10th annual Posse Christmas Dinner last night. I scored some awesome loot... a new snuggly, super adorable outfit from Emily and an absolutey precious dress from Stacy. :)

Wish List

Dear Santa,
I have been a veeeery good girl all of the 12 weeks I've been around this year. Keep this mind when viewing my wish list. I really tried to narrow it down and put it in the order of priority.

All I want for Christmas is:

Heirloom

This cradle is a family heirloom. My mommy, Uncle Doug, Uncle Greg, and my cousins slept in this cradle when they were 'lil ones. It is very special and perfect for some shut-eye!

#1 Dad

My daddy is the best. He works really hard all day and then plays with me at night. When he travels, I miss him but I know that he's just trying to "bring home the bacon". I am lucky to have such an awesome dad!

Anniversary

My mom and dad are celebrating their anniversary today. Love is in the air! They always talk about what an incredible, amazing day it was!!

Domestic Diva

If I am ever going to learn to cook, I'd like to practice on this super chic kitchen set. I can just imagine all of the casseroles, pot roasts, and baked goods that I could whip up in this snazzy kitchen! The only downfall is the $700 price tag... I better start saving now because I've only got about $2.42 in my piggy bank.

I Found My Thumb!

My cousins, Natalie and Libby, have asked me to join a very exclusive thumb-sucking club and I happily agreed. My thumb is the perfect replacement for that tricky binky. I just can't seem to figure out how to put the binky back in once it slips out....

I've been letting my hair grow for the past 11 weeks, so that I can put it in a pretty bow. Today was the day!!

Clean, Shiny Kid

Scrub a dub-dub, it's so much fun in the tub! I love to kick and splash in the warm water. Getting out of the tub is a whole other story... Brrrrr! I give my mommy and daddy about a half a second to wrap me up in a towel before I take matters into my own hands with a roaring AHHHHH!

Blow Out

If I could talk, I would have told my mom and dad that my diaper was filled to capacity with the #2 business.... but instead what happened was it exploded all the way up the front and back of my onesie! Now I know that a "blow out" doesn't just mean that your tires are flat and/or you aren't necessarily talking about candles. :)

I'm the Boss

It didn't take me long to realize that I can get whatever I want with two simple expressions. In the first photo below, I am demonstrating the "please, pretty pleeeeease" look. If that doesn't work, I move on to a more agressive approach. The "stick my bottom lip out as far as I can" method works wonders. I can almost hear mom's heart breaking when I use this!

Holiday Best

I'm all dressed up in my holiday best! I sent this picture along with my wish list to the North Pole. I'm hoping my sweet, peaceful expression will convince Santa that I've been a very good girl and should get ALL of the toys on my list. :)

Dear Readers,

I am Sassy Sydney's big sister, Sadie. I am sending out this plea in the hopes that you can help my mom and dad see the error of their ways. I used to feel like the light of their life. I was the star of the show, the twinkle in their eye, the peanut butter to their jelly... and NOW I have to share all of that. My little sister was born and my whole world changed. I can't sleep in until 11:00 anymore, I have to share the couch, I had to give up 50% of my snuggle time, my ball has been in the drawer since last month, I can't turn the crying off, the stroller runs into my heels. Enough is enough... I LIKED BEING AN ONLY CHILD!

Go Big or Go Home

Clark Griswald's got nothin on my dad! With the help of Uncle Bryan and a 32 foot ladder, my dad lit up our house with 150 extra-super-large christmas lights. Now we aren't talking the tiny LED lights... he selected the the largest christmas bulbs on the market. We expect to be hearing from Duke Energy and/or our HOA very soon. :) Click on the picture above to see how it all went up!

O' Christmas Tree

My daddy, mommy, and I spent Sunday spreading Christmas cheer around the house. Our stockings are up and the garland has been hung. My favorite part was trimming the tree! Next on my dad's holiday to-do list is to have the best "exterior illumination" on the street. :)

Kur-ry

My Aunt Kari (pronounced Kur-ry) is heading to Chicago to try out for the Amazing Race on CBS. Since I'm a loyal viewer of the series, here's my advice if she makes it on the show:

#1. Always get in the first cab. #2. Don't be afraid to cut in line. #3. Call ahead for plane and/or taxi reservations. #4. For good air time, scream, shout and cry. #5. RUN!!!!!

Just one of the girls...

A few of my mom's best girlfriends (Michelle, Gibby, Kelly and Stacy) were in town for Thanksgiving and stopped in for a visit. It made my mom sooo happy to see them and I had no idea how much fun "girl talk" is! :)

Finally...

On many different days, in many different ways my parents have made valiant attempts to capture my smile on film. Finally, today was the day!
