Toons that Teach

As we drove in the car this morning, this conversation took place...
Sydney: Look, a stop sign!
Mommy: You are right.
Sydney: It tells cars when to stop (putting her hand out in front of her)
Mommy: Wow, how did you learn that?
Sydney: From Caillou (a cartoon)

Eight is Great!

Natalie celebrated the first day of being eight with a showstopping American Idol party! Each of the party-goers dressed up and hit the stage for their own idol debut. The production crew was made up of Mommy on audio, Daddy on lights, and Uncle Greg as executive producer. Aunt Alison was in charge of the "green room" while the girls waited their turn to take the stage. The highlights of the night: staying up until 11:30, binging on Mike and Ike's, and hanging with the big girls.

Brother/Buddy/Sweet Boy

What does Reid go by? I call him brother (pronounced brudder).

Daddy calls him buddy.
Mommy calls him sweet boy.

Boy o' boy, we couldn't love him any more. :)

Score

While Natalie dribbles, shoots, and scores on the soccer field, I love to play on the sidelines with Libby! Reid usually chills with Emily as they play with rattles and chew on anything within reach.

Butterfly Walk

Our family was really excited to participate in the Butterfly Walk this Saturday! Mommy's class along with her wonderful friend Kelly's class created Team FLY (Fun, Loving Youth) to support the Cancerfree Kids Organization. Although the weather didn't fully cooperate, it was a very special day.

Sunrise

The best way to play outside on a chilly Saturday morning? Jammies, jacket, shades and heels.

Sometimes we play so nicely.

Other times, we don't.

Agritainment

Today's adventure included a trip to Young's Jersey Dairy Farm. Our agenda at the farm: pet the cows, climb on the tractors, feed the goats, ride the train, and devour a dish of cotton candy icecream. I didn't want to leave!

An apple a day,

keeps the doctor away!

What Does Easter Mean to Us?

It means waking up at 5:50 A.M. to see if the Easter bunny came,
having breakfast with the W family and making Evelyn smile.
It means hunting for eggs in the front yard,
and smiling for pictures, pictures, and more pictures.
Easter means lots of hugs with cousins,

wearing silly bunny hats,
and waking Papa up after he falls asleep in his cozy chair.
It means finding a spot on daddy's lap to relax and take it all in.
Most of all, Easter means being with family and making sweet, precious memories.
