Camp Shuttle

How do you fit three carseats into the backseat? Just like this...

It was a little bit of a jigsaw puzzle to fit all three in, but we did it! As Uncle Doug would say, we "rolled four deep" to the park.

Camp Wiggity Wack

This summer is extra fun because sweet Evelyn will be attending "day camp" at our house two days a week. All three campers love to play in and around water, so we set up an aquatic center in the backyard!

When we run out of swim diapers, bathing suits become optional.

Sadie LOVES to get in the water on hot days!

Since this last photo was taken, we have added one more pool and a sprinkler for more wet adventures!

Happy Father's Day

Our daddy is the very best,

He shines high above all of the rest!

His hugs, kisses, and snuggles mean so much,

and his heritage is NOT Pennsylvania Dutch.

He teaches us soccer and basketball,

And prefers not to take us to the shopping mall.

Daddy tucks us in and says good night,

He makes our hot dogs taste just right.

Without him we would be really sad,

Because he is really patient when we are bad.

We love you daddy with all of our heart,

You are funny, handsome, and very smart.

Kickin' it at KI

My friend from school, Elle, met us at Kings Island this week. We hopped, skipped, and held hands all through the park. We went on all of the rides together, but the one that received the most squeals was the Great Pumpkin Coaster!

Reid and Elle's brother, Alex, tried out the Beetlebugs ride. While Reid was totally up for the whipping-around-in-a-circle fun, Alex was NOT a fan.

We had a fun day kickin' it at KI!

Butterfly Whisperer

This week, Sydney found a butterfly with a broken wing sitting on a leaf. It wouldn't or couldn't fly and she was very worried about it. So she put her flying-insect-pal in a bugcatcher for a little rest (who doesn't love a little R & R every now and then?!). It must have worked because it happily flew off a few hours later!

Daddy took me to my first Reds game! We had amazing seats. Our afternoon was filled with a little baseball-watching and a lot of cotton candy, hot dogs, ice cream, playgrounding, cheering, and walking.

When Daddy Was Away...

We went to the zoo to play! Daddy took his annual fishing trip a few weekends ago. We stayed very busy... our weekend included a fun trip to the zoo followed by the playground, bike rides, and ice cream. :)

Happy Easter!

Easter is a special holiday and there was no shortage of celebrating for our family. It all started with a preschool party. The highlight was an appearance from the Easter Bunny!

Then, it was time for some egg coloring.
Evelyn, Aunt Anna, Uncle Bryan, and Grandma came over Saturday evening for Easter dinner. We woke up Sunday morning to find out that the Easter bunny had been by our house.Then, we were off to Mimi and Papa's for the annual egg hunt.
Natalie had the most difficult eggs to find in the playroom after the room had been played in by all the kids!

Beach Bums

We just got home from a fabulous spring break in Seaside, Florida! Grandma generously treated us to a week of fun in the sun. From the daily beach walks to the playgrounds and bike riding, we had the best family time. We didn't want to come home! Some of the highlights included...
