'Twas the Night Before Christmas

After realizing that our favorite restaurant wasn't open for carryout on Christmas Eve, we swapped out the menu and ordered Chinese. Yum!

Sweet August didn't have any chicken fried rice, but he was full of smiles.
We told Reid this was a "General Tso" hot dog and he loved it.

Chinese food by candlelight, how festive. ;)
Will and I chowed down on some mac and cheese at the kids table.

Lunch at Mimi's with Mimi

While the boys went out for their annual Christmas Eve pub burger, the girls went to Mimi's with Mimi.

15 and Counting

This is mommy's posse. They came over for the 15th annual Christmas dinner. It was hard to sleep over the laughs, laughs, and more laughs that I could hear from upstairs. These special friends mean the world to mommy.

Let's do a timewarp to the posse in 1997...

Reid LOVED baby Madison. :)

Naughty or nice?

Uh oh, did Santa tell Reid that he is on the naughty list?!

A Star is Born

We had breakfast with Santa! I gave him a BIG HUG and told him my Christmas list, a barbie and a pillow pet. Simple enough.

After meeting Mr. Claus, I joined a group of high school carolers to spread some holiday cheer. My singing debut made the local paper!

If I don't cut it as a christmas caroler, maybe I have a future as a country singer...

Ode to Brown County

Over the hills and through the woods,
to a beautiful cabin we did go...

What a wonderful place
to stay and play,
two weekends ago, OH!
Over the hills and through the woods,
Oh, how our fun did go.
With lots of good food,
special family time too,
and many fires aglow!

Over the hills and through the woods,
to have a first-rate play.
Oh, hear the oven ding,
the Pollyeyes are thru baking,
this made mommy and daddy's day!
Over the hills and through the woods,
"Let's go fishing," my daddy did say.
We threw out the line,
but no fish wanted to dine,
so we went back inside to play!

Aquarium

When I turned three, it was all about me. Mommy and daddy took me to a special lunch all by myself. After lunch, we went to the aquarium. It was pretty awesome when the divers fed the sharks. We topped off the afternoon with my favorite dish... a scoop of "nilla" ice cream!

All Aboard

Thomas the train came through town a few weekends ago, so we booked ourselves a few tickets and boarded for a day cruise!

Three (incredibly fast) years ago...

Our sweet, smart and sassy Sydney was born! She is THREE... can it really be?! Every day is so much fun watching her grow and learn new things. She is our bright, funny, strong-willed, and imaginative girl. She loves princesses, books, dancing, music, and baby dolls. She is endlessly inquisitive and curious about the world around her. The question of every day... "Why?!" We are incredibly proud of the beautiful, loving, spunky little girl that she is!

One Year Ago Today...

Our sweet, smiley Reid was born! He is such a blessing to our family and lights up our days with constant smiles, giggles, and snuggles. If we had to use one word to describe our baby of the family, it would be jolly. He is a happy and content little man who adores his big sister. We love you Reid!!!

A Casualty of the Move

We were so very proud that we didn't lose anything in the move.... right up until our camera battery died and needed a charge. We have so many pictures to share, but our camera isn't willing to cooperate without a little juice! Until we get our camera back in action, enjoy these pics from the Heritage parade.
